Even a very casual reader of my blog (or, ahem, any of my social media accounts) may have noticed my absolute we-love-you-but-don’t-you-think-you’ve-gone-too-far levels of obsession with pink this season. Even an all pink outfit simply cannot satisfy my craving for it. Do I need to say more? This coat was simply made for any fashion lover with a foot half-way planted in another, more sparkly and pretty realm.
I am absolutely ecstatic I managed to get this pink coat on a 4 AM restock (for once my insomnia wasn’t completely useless). It seemed to be – by far – the most coveted piece from the Simone Rocha x HM designer collaboration collection earlier this year. I sadly missed out on the launch date, but I’m just so happy someone changed their mind so I could get my sequin hungry paws on it!
Of course I went straight to shoot it for the gram the very next day. If you didn’t know, I shoot my own outfit pictures 99.8% of the time and tend to get a few what-has-this-world-come-to looks, but this definitely had a few more than usual and a couple of amused comments as well. But it’s fairly easy to ignore when you feel as badass as this coat will make you feel!
I paired it here with the pearl headband from the same collection (if anyone had enlightened me to the fact that completely comfortable headbands exist, I would have splurged on a pricy one years ago!!) but the rest of the outfit are all pieces from last year. My adored white braided mules from Mango (so many dupes this year!!), a classic tennis skirt and a knit vest. I just love how they are all pretty unexpected pairings, yet I feel so amazing when they’re all combined together.

Look at the A-line shape of that coat!! It feels like wearing a dress. Love. Just love. And I added the pink sunglasses because I’m slightly high on pink this season. I hope it lasts.
