My Hair Care Routine

If you want detailed information on my hair care routine, how and where in the routine I use these products, you can check out this post How to Grow Long Hair – Fast!

Pre-wash treatments

Inkey List Salicylic Acid – great product, terrible packaging. You are warned. But I have bought probably close to ten of these and just transferred to a spray bottle. Fantastic for oily or flaky scalps.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer – Really lovely hair mask that doesn’t weigh the hair down.
Tangle teezer – reduces the amount of breakage. I always brush my hair pre-shower. I have used this for the past decade. The flexible bristles cause less damage and breakage to my hair.

In the shower

Rahua Classic shampoo & conditioner – fantastic products, if you are not bothered by the exorbitant price. I will link some alternatives I use periodically.
Briogeo scalp brush – I would wager any scalp brush would work, but this is fantastic and has just the right amount of flexibility in the “bristles”.

Other shampoos I have used and loved

Post-shower

Color wow Dream Coat and the Pop & Lock frizz control – I use these only when I dry my hair with a hair dryer and usually never both. Dream coat every 4th wash or so, Pop & lock when I want super shiny hair.
Kerastase Nectar Thermique leave-in – I use this almost every single time I wash my hair, makes it a lot more manageable and prevents excessive tangling. It also makes the hair super soft and is a heat protectant, so you don’t have to load up on product, even if I use it mostly to avoid knotting.
Phillip Kingsley Daily Damage Defense – my (other) go-to heat protectant, very light weight and keeps hair soft.
