I have only had this bag for a few months, but it has been one of my most worn in the time I have had it and I wanted to share what I think of it so far! Because this is a fairly new model for Coach, it had next to no reviews when I purchased it, but I fell so in love with it that I knew I wanted to get it and I didn’t want to risk it selling out.
This comes in so many beautiful colours and leathers / canvas options! Click images to check them out.
Now, let’s take a look at the bag!
It has that half moon shape that has been so popular recently, but is simple enough to not be overly trendy. It is a pretty decent size that fits my essentials (check out the end of this review for an overview of what fits in the bag!), but it is slim and comfortable to have on the shoulder. Some of these half moon bags are too wide or bulky, which means they’re a bit too uncomfortable to wear on the shoulder, that is not an issue here! If you are familiar with the Coach Luna bag, this – from what I have been told – is roughly that shape and is somewhat of an updated model. My favourite feature on this bag, is the two strap situation! It comes with a beautiful chain strap that is usually sold separately, but I love that it is included here. The length of it is INSERT and is the perfect drop on me for a shoulder bag. It is completely removable, as is the cross body strap, so you can wear either strap or have the chain on as a little design feature. The cross body strap is adjustable and a really nice width, it is so comfortable and feels like even better quality than I expected! I am so impressed with it! The rest of the bag is in a coated canvas, but the leather on this strap seriously made me want a full leather version as well. But when I bought this bag, it only came in the canvas options, and I absolutely fell in love with the horse and carriage print of this one. I love that it has the monogram canvas look, without being too branded. The colour combination is also just beautiful for fall, but this also came in a very pretty white and cream colour, as well as the signature Coach canvas. The inside is a micro suede fabric, and has a side pocket that could be convenient for a bit of bag organization, but I mostly just keep small flat things in there, like receipts and tickets and things of that nature. The bag is just the perfect size that I don’t have any issues or need for a lot of organization in it.
I also weighed this bag, because I know weight is very important to some of us when it comes to handbags and it can be a bit subjective. This is a very light bag, but with the chain it measured 537 grams (~1.2 pounds) and without the chain, it was 386 grams (0.85 pounds).
I paid €425 for this bag, retailing for $395 and £395 in the US and UK. I absolutely feel like that is a fair price for it, as it seems really well made, but you might want to consider the full leather options instead, if you want more bang for your buck, as they retailed at the same price (at the time of writing this, anyways).
Quality
Because I have not had this bag for years and years (yet), I obviously cannot speak on the longevity of it. But I absolutely intend on keeping it, so if you want an update then, do let me know. However, from what I can tell so far, this bag is absolutely superb quality! It has no signs of wear yet, which is not that impressive considering I have not had it very long, but I have used it a fair bit already. And both materials and finishes feel very high quality. I love that all of the hardware has Coach detailed on it, and the zipper pull as well is really cute. The zipper is also very soft and overall it seems like there has been paid special attention to the details on this bag. The stitching is beautiful, I love the contrast stitching that is done on the leather strap and the tabs. The glazing is also just perfect, I really cannot find a flaw in the quality of handbag.
All of the details on this bag are so beautifully finished, I am really really impressed. The canvas also feels very nice though and should hopefully turn out to be very durable and long lasting.
