I never manage to buy every single dress I want (and that would not be ideal either, my apartment would be overflowing), but I always enjoy looking at them still and can’t help but put together a wish list of the absolute best dresses of the season to whittle down my selection. So if you need some inspiration, look no further than this post!

I’ll go store-by-store, to make this a bit more easily to navigate, so here goes.

COS

A great place to find timeless and classic designs! They do a lot of very airy and comfortable cotton dresses that are perfect for a garden party, work or lounging at home alike. But this season I fell absolutely in love with this rib knit dress – is it not absolute perfection? From the v-neck to the small buttons, it’s giving me timeless with 90’s minimalism for the perfect dress. I ordered it immediately, here’s to crossing everything I have that it will fit me as a shorter fashion lover.

I also had to include that bustier dress, because, just, wow. It’s definitely a bit more of a splurge for a high street piece, but it looks absolutely *chef’s kiss*.

& Other Stories

& Other Stories do summer dresses so well and is why I started shopping there in the first place. They always do lot’s of beautiful floral and more festive pieces that are perfect for garden parties, holidays and for those who are attending weddings in the summer time. But they also do a really solid selection of neutrals and very classic silhouettes and styles, I am on year 4 on one of my favourite timeless dresses from them!

Arket

Ok, full disclosure, this is not typically where I load up on too-many-dresses-to-even-check-the-cart-total, simply because the design is typically a bit more laid back than I want my dresses to be. But if your style is casual, classic and roomy silhouettes, you will love them! I do have a couple of dresses from them, and the quality has been top notch, I also love that they stick with more timeless styles, rather than churning out a bunch of party dresses every season! So I always take a look for those gems, how else would I know that beautiful scoop neck dress existed? Such an elegant and timeless dress.
