Are you lusting over the perfect summer basket bag that somehow manages to be both the it-bag of the season and a classic summer wardrobe staple? I know I am. But I’ve already spent my budget on other temptations, so I did a little online hunting and came across some excellent dupes. LOEWE RAFFIA BASKET TOTE
As always with these posts, let’s start with the OG, the enemy of fashion lovers’ bank accounts, the Loewe Raffia Basket Tote. I’ll be fair, as far as designer bags go, this price is not as ridiculous as most. At $550 for the medium, it is absolutely not the worst. You can also get the smaller size for a bit less as well. Of course, very little of the bag is leather. But it is certainly a bag that you will get use out of every summer for years and years to come. Of course that matters very little if it’s just not in our budget…

THE DUPES
Enter our fabulous dupes! I have one from H&M and two from Mango. Sadly the one Mango store that used to be a 5 minute drive from me closed their doors (I even used to work there almost 10 years ago!). But they have really great shipping and return policies (basically free both ways), so I am still a frequent (maybe too frequent?) shopper there. Images are clickable and will take you straight to the product!
This H&M is so beautiful, I love the light faux leather details, and it’s undeniably the closest dupe I have found to the Loewe this season. It’s also the least expensive! If you have a hard time matching brown and prefer something less contrasting, this would definitely be the bag for you. It’s a fairly new release but I see it keeps selling out and being restocked, so sign up for a notification if it’s not currently in stock where you live!
Ok, the Mango dupes. My favorite is this first one. I am so in love with the knot detail on the handles, I think it makes the bag look so chic, exclusive and definitely a lot more expensive than it is! I also love that this is even more minimal than the Loewe one, unless that is a sin to say.
This second option from Mango is a seriously high quality dupe. The straps and details are of real leather and it comes with a detachable long shoulder strap as well. Remember to condition the leather as long, sunny days at the beach and sea salt covered towels can take a toll on leather. Take care of it and in return this should last you a long time.
